Joseph (Joe) Oringel

Joe Oringel is a co-founder and managing director of Visual Risk IQ (www.visualriskiq.com). Since 2006, the firm has completed hundreds of commercial and also public sector data science projects to help shorten their clients’ time to insight and value. Joe and his team provide a unique combination of turnkey analytics implementation and on-the-job training to help internal audit and finance teams see and understand their data using off-the shelf software like Tableau, SQL, Python, and PowerBI.

Joe is also a co-founder of Service AI, a start-up that is building and commercializing an email-reading software robot that prioritizes and dispatches IT help desk tickets with limited human intervention. This experience in building, testing, and refining this AI-powered system has excellent application for helping other teams consider the risks and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor, and earned his MBA at the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a past Chapter President and Board member for the Institute of Internal Auditors for the Charlotte Chapter – a platinum-rated chapter.
